Hour of Code Utilized at CMSThe Hour of Code takes place each year during Computer Science Education Week, which was December 7-13, 2015.  The Hour of Code is a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to show that anybody can learn the basics of coding.  Johnston County Schools began working with Code.org as part of a partnership that aimed to increase participation in computer science courses by women and underrepresented students of various ethnic backgrounds. On December 7, students in Crystal Hardison's CTE classes were allowed to work with the coding activities provided by Code.org. "Many students have shown an interest in coding and I wanted the students to see just how easy it can be", Hardison stated.
