From 7th Grade to Medical School

Code Blue is a science project lead by Professor Butler and Professor Jorgenson. It is a month long project in 7th grade to learn about several human body systems, including the Skeletal and Muscular System, Digestive System, Cardiovascular System, Respiratory System, and the Excretory System. The project also teaches how to correctly and efficiently diagnose patients with a disease. On December, Thursday 15th, the students spent the day diagnosing adult patients. Students were assigned one of these positions and put into clinics, groups of different specialists, after taking a test on what they learned in their specialty area. On Thursday, parents came into the classroom, given a name and a disease, and the students diagnosed them. Thanks to Ethon Atkinson for writing this article on the experience.
