Clayton vs Riverwood 10/25/16

It was a hard loss for the Clayton Eagle football team Tuesday against the riverwood ravens. We started off strong with a touchdown from Owen Woznichak followed by a two point conversion by TyShay Amerson. We attempted to hold on, but with careless mistakes and a dominating Riverwood team.

By Cameron Hicks Clayton vs. McGees 10/6/16

The Clayton Eagles fell short against the McGees Mustangs, 16-14.  It was a hard fight until the end of the game. Unfortunately the Mustangs ran back our kickoff but we came back on offense and moved the ball very well. Owen Woznichak came back and scored to make it 6-8. The defense came out and shut the Mustang’s offense down. The second half both teams scored again with Owen running for another touchdown and Troy Fisher making the extra point. The mustangs came out better in the second half and won the game.   Let's Go Eagles!!!

September 22- Clayton Eagles vs. Princeton Bulldogs We hit the field, like who? We play together like who? This was the sound of the chant, as the Clayton Middle Eagles set the tone for their 2016 football season with a victory over the Princeton Middle Bulldogs. These was the best game so far but we are training and getting faster, stronger and braver. It was a mighty win for our defense, who held the Bulldogs to 6 points. Both 1st and 2nd string defensive team were responsible for creating great field position for the Eagles offense. The Eagles scored their first touchdown with a 40 yard long pass from Troy Fisher to Justin Bell. Hats off to the Eagles offensive line who provided great blocking for our team. Tyshay Amerson, Troy Fisher and J’Vin Farmer capitalized with touchdowns! As always, the Clayton Middle School Football coaches would like to thank parents, students, volunteers, and staff for their continued support! Please support our Eagles as they travel to Riverwood next Thursday. Let’s Go Eagles!

September 14- Clayton at Meadow
It was great game for the Clayton Middle Eagles.  The Eagles fell short to the Meadows Indians 24 - 18, after a strong comeback with good execution of offensive plays and defensive strategies.  We had great defensive play from the whole defensive team.  The defense was lead by Keyshawn Barbour, Owen Woznichak, Justin Bell, Christopher Robinson and TyShay Amerson.  Tyshay Amerson started the late rally, for the Eagles, with an interception.  On offense, Tyshay lead the Eagles with three touchdowns.  His great running was possible with the heart of our offensive line, which was lead by Darrius Price, Kendall Leathers, Louis Gallmeyer, Dylan Fannin, Jaden Moore and Troy Fisher.  Our Clayton Eagles will be at home, next week, against the Princeton Bulldogs.  The Clayton Middle Coaching Staff would like to thank parents, students and staff who came out to support the Clayton Middle Eagles!  Let’s Go Eagles!!!
